Grilled Shrimp Skewers
I only have a few words for this recipe: quick and easy! Oh my! Shrimp is cleaned and dried, then tossed in a bowl of a breadcrumbs and oil mixture with a little finely chopped garlic and parsley, salt and pepper. The preparation is minimal. After 3 1/2 minutes on the grill, the result is crispy, juicy, tender shrimp! This made a great summer dinner!
Here are the shrimp before the grill:
Here they are off the skewer and on our plate:
The shrimp look mouthwatering — in fact, the entire dinner looks incredibly yummy! (Please don’t tell me you made the pasta, too. *grin*)
This is one of my favorite shrimp recipes because it is *so* simple, yet delicious.
Brava!
Brava Palma! No one who hasn’t tasted these shrimp can imagine how tasty they are, so juicy, sweet, and savory, and as you put it, so quick and easy. I have always wondered how it is that restaurants who do so many elaborate or banal things with shrimp – I don’t even want to think about that appalling specialty of Italian-American cuisine, shrimp scampi – have never thought of doing these skewers.
Those of you who have Amarcord may recall reading about an embarrassing episode involving my use or misuse of the term skewer.
It looks delicious, Palma!
These look perfect Palma!
